Centralized government sucks.
Civil rights are a joke. The last vestiges of the old republic that will soon be swept away. The only reason they haven’t is because it is easier to leave the frogs their delusion that they are in the pond until the water gets to a boiling point in the pot they are ACTUALLY in.
Republican? Democrat? Who gives a flying fuck. It’s all about power…. Power comes from controlling the people—ergo—resources.
Communications Decency act: This one is on the book, friends.
In essence it is a FEDERAL CRIME to put obscenity on the internet. And what is the definition of obscenity? Well, that is wholly defined by the LOCAL definition and standard.
What that simply means is, if you described, say, in your blog, the loving candle lit sex you and your monogamous partner shared last night, and it happened to be viewed by somebody in Punxony Alabama, where the local definition of obscenity includes all descriptions of sexual activity, you could be prosecuted for a federal crime.
Now, is that likely? Not the point, it is a point of control that exists WHEN THEY NEED TO BOIL THAT PARTICULAR FROG…
Here’s another example… Descriptions of gay and lesbian “behavior’ is well documented in MANY communities, right or wrong, as being Obscene. BDSM? Forget it! Pretty much universally considered obscene. Polyamorous? Obscene, Monogamous sex described? Obscene.TALKING TO YOUR TWELVE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ABOUT BIRTH CONTROL…. Obscene.
And this is just one TINY law on the books. I don’t care who you are, or what you do, there are laws that, when necessary, will take you down.
In Arthur Conan Doyle’s book, Sir Nigel, A young Nigel is taught by his aged grandmother that “ The Law is a terrible engine upon the backs of those who know how to wield it. A terrible weapon for which there is little defense.”
How long will it be before the government destroys somebody’s life because they dreamed they were naked in a bowl of green jello, smoking a cigar. Sounds obscene to me! I don’t give a rat’s ass WHO is in the White House, and what group of crooks hold the Senate, it’s all the same.
Tow the line, or we will find/manufacture/twist a law to take you down. That is, if you are significant enough to do so. If not, who gives a shit. Wallow in your own mediocrity and keep producing to feed our constituency. A constituency that we have bred for generations to be dependent upon Big government for their very lives. And why would they want that? because captive cattle are far easier to herd than a free range cattle.
Go out and read “Atlas shrugged”, than go start burying guns.
P.S. The Communications decency act has been challenged, and determined by the SUPREME COURT to be unconstitutional, however, in spite of that, they upheld the lower court’s , and kept it on the books… Just in case… The Constitution is a brilliant document inked with the blood of patriots…. And being used as toilet paper by those who we call “our leaders.”
“How can they get away with this!?” one asks….. Because the frogs are already boiled. I’d rather, at this point, that they would be honest, and repeal the Constitution. It would be more honest, and people could start unburying their guns.
P.P.S You know what the most insidious tool a government can use to control it’s people? Hope….. Hope and willful blindness are a powerful narcotic mix. Days of reckoning can sometimes be postponed, but never negated.

The Eclectic Antagonist 
I don’t want my children to live in Sudan or Afghanistan or anyplace else where they have already unburied the guns and the Illusion of the Rule of Law has been ripped apart.
I like living in a place where the wolves have some checks and balances and the sheep can live pretty freely.
My dad taught me to vote for the smart guy, crook or not.
I understand what you are saying, my dear friend, Completely. But that is the problem. There ARE times when, as Thomas Jefferson said “The republic must be washed clean with the blood of patriots.”
There are times when Mother’s sons must bleed. That is the nature of life. I pray it doesn’t happen to us, but it will happen. A Democratic Republic, like Communism, has one fatal flaw… People.
The wolves are not in check, my dear. Their existence is just conveniently put out of site by the Sheepdogs. And the GOOD sheepdogs are getting so very very tired. for we give them the insurmountable task of shielding us from the wolves so we can deny their existence, and we beat them and marginalize them for doing that task. I don’t care HOW GOOD a sheepdog is, if the wolves offer them 100,000 dollars, and promise not to rape their wives while their children watch, if they will only look the other way on some dark night, they will.
and WE have made this problem, because instead of taking control of our personal safety, and our family’s we have relegated it, Relegated the entirety of our responsibility, along with the education of our children, and our freedom, to Government.
The sheepdogs don’t control the wolves, they just hide them so the sheep are more content.

maybe, intellectually but not really. Look at the tribal areas, look at life in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia or any modern tribal area.
What kind of life would Constance have there?
Those areas do not reflect actual Tribal human existence. They are the outcomes of a cycle. One that has, and will be repeated. Something that would be lovely indeed to discuss one day around a fire. (smile)

I speak of anarchy and personal freedom while driving to work in my giant truck slaving for the man so I can buy toys, and pretend to be a medieval guy.

but I do know that governmental control and exploitation were not the principles upon which the Continental Congress ratified the Constitution; not the basis upon which countless Mother’s sons spilt their life, and that Ideals are inevitably eaten to feed the addictions to convenience and power.
Especially when we sell an entire nation in the idea that there are no classes. That most quintessential American drug; the belief that all of us can be wealthy and equal.
It’s all a cycle, it has been, and will be again. There is no such thing as “continuous improvement”, and entropy will be paid it’s due.
Now, if you are talking about Constance as a woman, and things like Equal rights… (which I would imagine you are, as you reference Pakistan and Saudi Arabia) That’s an entirely engrossing conversation that would be lovely to have. In a nutshell, though…. as harsh as it sounds… Equal rights are a luxury. When you cannot afford that luxury and survive, archetypes of behavior will resurface. That’s as politically incorrect a statement as one can possibly make, but it’s true.

I believe the frogs are boiled to the point that a popular uprising is unlikely to succeed and keep integrity, like our original popular uprising. any uprising will churn into Anarchy.
Of course, I believe Anarchy to be inevitable, ergo the Fall of Rome. The die-off will just be much much worse.
What do we do? fight a holding action with education, and discussion while preparing to defend ourselves and our families in any way we can.

I sit here and agree with most of what you say. I would love to talk about this at GREAT length with you because I don’t type so well and the response would be long indeed.
